Apple’s Upcoming M2 MacBook Air Design and Colors

Earlier this year, Apple announced their all new redesigned 2021 iMac that boasted squared-off edges and came in seven different colors, and it seems that the upcoming MacBook Air will follow the same design philosophy.

In a recent YouTube video on his channel Front Page Tech, Apple leaker Jon Prosser claims that the upcoming M2 MacBook Air will come in an array of pastel colors, and feature a white keyboard and white bezels. Prosser states that this information comes from the same source that accurately predicted the new colors of the 2021 iMac.

If this is true, it seems that Apple is returning to their roots and potentially paying homage to their older product lines such as the iMac G3 and iBook G3 that also were available in a variety of colorways.

Apart from the new colors, it seems that the new MacBook Air will also have some slight design changes according to Prosser. Leaks reveal that the new MacBook Air will shift away from Apple’s usual tapered design and feature squared-off edges. There are also rumors regarding smaller bezels, and even MagSafe charging. Lastly, these MacBooks will supposedly contain Apple’s upcoming M2 chip which was rumored to be under mass production recently.

There is no official word about the release date of the new MacBook Air, but reports suggest it could be announced near the end of 2021, or even early 2022.
