Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and cryptocurrency have been extremely popular as of recent, and Samsung has taken notice and is planning to support NFTs by incorporating an NFT platform into their 2022 lineup of televisions.
In a press release, Samsung that “with demand for NFTs on the rise, the need for a solution to today’s fragmented viewing and purchasing landscape has never been greater.” The 2022 models of the MICRO LED, NEO QLED, and Frame TVs will feature an intuitive application that will allow users to discover, purchase, and trade their NFTs. The platform will also allow users to learn about a particular NFT’s history and blockchain data.
Furthermore, the smart calibration features on the Samsung TVs will be able to adapt display settings to match the NFT creator’s original preset values, ensuring the image quality of your digital artwork. Samsung will release more details surrounding the NFT platform in the coming months. The integration of NFTs into Samsung’s products is part of their larger investment in met averse related projects.
