At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), LG announced their latest lineup of OLED TVs for 2022, including both their largest and smallest screen sizes at 97-inches and 42-inches respectively.
The LG G2 OLED series is LG’s slimmest TVs and are designed to be wall mounted, and will be available in 55, 65, 77, 83, and 97-inch sizes. The 97-inch OLED TV is a world first and is just shy of reaching the 100-inch screen size that rivals many projectors. On the other hand, the popular C2 OLED lineup of TVs will be available in 42, 48, 55, 65, 77, and 83-inch options.
Both LG’s new G2 and C2 lineups will utilize their OLED Evo technology which allows for higher brightness and improved heat dissipation on the televisions. The fifth generation A9 processor on the TVs will also allow for improved 4K upscaling, more dynamic tone mapping, and increased depth through image analysis that will be able to better identify background elements from foreground elements.
LG G2 and C2 lineup of televisions are insanely compelling, offering HDMI 2.1 with up to 48Gbps of bandwidth, eARC, variable refresh rates including support for 4K at 120hz and 8K at 60hz, and more. Pricing and release information regarding LG’s 2022 lineup will come in the near future.
