The New Beats Fit Pro – Better Than AirPods?

Following the release of the Beats Studio Buds and the AirPods 3, it seems Apple is adding another pair of wireless earbuds to their lineup, the Beats Fit Pro. The Beats Fit Pro boasts a number of features including a comfortable design, Active Noise Cancellation, spatial audio support, and more.

One of the main selling points of the Beats Fit Pro is the all-new flexible wingtip design that supposedly was modeled using “measurements from thousands of ears” to ensure the best fit, comfort, and performance.

In terms of sound performance, the Beats Fit Pro use an all-new custom transducer and acoustic architecture to provide a more robust sound and improved dynamic range and clarity. As expected, the Beats Fit Pro features an Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) mode, Transparency mode, and an Adaptive EQ mode when both ANC and Transparency are disabled. The Beats Fit Pro uses Apple’s computational audio to dynamically tune the low and mid frequencies, and also support spatial audio with dynamic head tracking to provide an immersive listening experience for Dolby Atmos enabled content.

The Beats Fit Pro utilize Apple’s own H1 chip so they are capable of all the Apple ecosystem features including one-touch pairing, iCloud Automatic Switching, “Hey Siri”, Find My, and more. Skin detect sensors are also present to allow automatic pause/play when the earbuds are placed or removed from your ear.

Battery life on the Beats Fit Pro is excellent with 6 hours of listening time per earbud, and an additional 21 hours of listening time provided by the case. The Adaptive EQ mode allows for up to 7 hours of listening time on the earbuds, and up to 30 hours from the case. The Beats Fit Pro charge via USB-C and offer fast charging with a 5 minute charge providing an hour of additional listening time.

Similar to the previous Beats Studio Buds, the Beats Fit Pro are compatible with both Apple and Android smartphones. The Beats Companion app for Android allows for convenient setup, one-touch pairing, and toggle between modes and set custom controls.

The Beats Fit Pro is priced at $199 and is available in four colors including Stone Purple, Sage Gray, White, and Black. The Beats Fit Pro are available to order now, with shipping beginning on November 5th.
