Microsoft’s Upcoming Xbox Mini Fridge

When Microsoft initially announced the Xbox Series X back in 2018, many users mocked the design mentioning how closely it resembled a refrigerator. However, it seems like Microsoft has taken the joke to the next level by announcing a Xbox Mini Fridge at E3 2021 during the Xbox and Bethesda showcase.

Microsoft hasn’t released any details regarding the price or dimensions of the mini-fridge, but they claim it to be the “world’s most powerful mini-fridge” and that it features “Velocity Cooling Architecture”, a play on words of the Xbox Series X’s “Velocity Architecture.” Based on the promotional video, the fridge should be almost identical in size to a normal Xbox Series X console and can most likely hold around 10 cans.

This isn’t the first time Microsoft has made jokes about the console’s resemblance of a refrigerator either. In March of last year, they used a fridge for scale when referring to the Xbox’s dimensions, and later that October they even raffled off a full size Xbox Series X refrigerator that was over 6 feet tall and weighed over 400 pounds.

While no specific release date has been revealed yet, Microsoft has said that the mini-fridge will be released in the holiday time of 2021, so expect it to be available before the end of this year.
