Sony and Honda: The Partnership We Didn’t Know We Needed
Probably one of the coolest thing I saw at CES 2023 was Sony and Honda’s Afeela Prototype EV. This advanced electric vehicle is the result of a collaboration between Sony and Honda and offers a range of up to 77 miles on a single charge. It also features an advanced air purification system, four-wheel drive, a Heads-up Display, a voice assistant, and a variety of other technologies.
Design, Speed and Release Date
The car has a design that is completely distinguished from what we’ve seen Honda create in the past. Its slick edges and single wrap-around headlight beam make it very clear that Afeela is aiming to be a car of the future.
The car has a top speed of 62 mph, with reports saying the car will be available around 2026 (so… maybe never?).
The Sony x Honda Afeela Prototype EV is a perfect blend of Sony and Honda’s best features. The company’s aim to create the autonomous EV of the future still feels a bit out of reach to me, but the second this car hits the road, I’ll have a camera out, ready to review it.
