The ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold

ASUS unveiled products and laptops at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), but one of their most intriguing announcements has to be their new foldable laptop. The Zenbook 17 Fold is a laptop with a 17.3-inch foldable display that can be utilized in a variety of modes for maximum versatility.

Inside the laptop, the Zenbook 17 Fold is powered by a 12th Gen Intel i7 U-Series processor, up to 16GB of LPDDR5, and 1TB of NVMe SSD storage. The display itself is a 4:3 2560x1920px touchscreen OLED panel that when folded, turns into two 3:2 1920x1280px 12.5-inch displays. According to ASUS, the 180-degree hinge is rated for up to 30,000 cycles. The Zenbook 17 Fold can be used in a variety of modes whether that be like a traditional laptop, a tablet, or folded like a clamshell. Those who are uncomfortable with the on-screen keyboard of the laptop can choose to use the included ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard instead. Other notable features of the laptop include a 5-megapixel front camera, a Dolby Atmos enabled Harmon Kardon audio system, and two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports.

Details regarding the Zenbook 17 Fold such as release date and price are still unknown, but ASUS has mentioned that the laptop will be available in the second quarter of 2022.
