Sonos is known for their high-quality and reliable sound bars such as the Sonos Beam and the Sonos Arc, however it seems that audio manufacturer is now planning to add an entry-level sound bar to their audio lineup that will be available as early as this summer.
According to a report from The Verge, the newest sound bar is codenamed “Fury” and is known officially as model S36. The “Fury” joins the rest of the Sonos lineup alongside the $449 Sonos Beam and the premium $899 Sonos Arc, and will reportedly release on June 7th. The Verge has also developed 3D renders of what the sound bar will supposedly look like based on photos they have seen of the sound bar itself.
As the lower-end model, the sound bar is expected to omit premium features such as Dolby Atmos support and built-in microphones for voice assistant compatibility, but nevertheless it should still be a great value for those looking for a simple but effective addition to their TV and home theatre setup.
The Sonos “Fury” is rumored to be priced at $249 and should allow Sonos to be extremely competitive in the budget sound bar market.
