Samsung’s 55″ Curved Odyssey Ark

Another product unveiled at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is Samsung’s largest and most ambitious curved monitor yet, the Odyssey Ark.

The Odyssey Ark is a 55-inch, 16:9 curved monitor that can handle everything from gaming to productivity and multi-tasking and is built for maximum immersion. The display panel will supposedly utilize quantum dot technology and mini LED backlighting.

A major feature of the Odyssey Ark is the Height Adjustable Stand (HAS), which allows the users to pivot and tilt the monitor, and even rotate it 90-degrees for a completely vertical orientation. Various multi view options are also available to “allow users to adjust Odyssey Ark exactly how they want it with a totally adaptable screen size to fit the game or the program without compromising its 4K display and bright, colorful images.” As seen in the press images, the monitor is also accompanied by a wireless dial that enables users to control lighting and the interface.

That’s all the information that Samsung has provided so far, there hasn’t been any mention of refresh rate, color accuracy, response time, or even price and release date. However, Samsung is apparently aiming to release the Odyssey Ark in the United States in the later half of 2022.
