The design is one of the most intriguing aspects of the NOMVDIC X300 and is by far the best looking projector that we have reviewed to date. The exterior of the X300 is made up of a stunning forest green leather, metal gold trims, and a large perforated grille on either side of the device. The top of the X300 features high quality knurled knobs and buttons that allow you to easily control your media. While on the back of the X300, you have all your I/O and connectivity including microSD, USB-A, HDMI, and USB-C for ultimate flexibility.
Furthermore, as a speaker and projector that is focused on portability and, the X300 features a built-in 10,000 mAh battery that allows for up to 3 hours of movie watching and up to 6 hours of listening time. The compact form factor and convenient leather strap also allows you to take the X300 with you on the go, whether that be a long road trip, camping, or even just to a different room. The X300’s design is excellent and the attention to detail and craftsmanship is evident.
As a projector, the X300 is capable of casting 1080p Full HD content at up to 100-inches for a truly immersive viewing experience. The image itself is also vivid and detailed with over 3,000,000: 1 contrast ratio, 1 billion colors, and 125% Rec.709 coverage. From our experience, the project is able to display a rich level of contrast, great sharpness, and relatively accurate color reproduction. It was also remarkable how quiet the X300 was during use, the noise of the fans were minimal and barely audible.
The audio capabilities of the X300 are equally as impressive. Made in collaboration with Harmon Kardon, the X300 features a passive radiator, dual sets of tweeters and woofers, and is powered by a 30W Class D amplifier. As a Bluetooth speaker, the X300 is detailed and accurate with a decent level of bass, clear trebles, and balanced mids. The open front and back design also allows for a loud room-filling 360 degree sound.
The X300 is truly wireless and easy to setup with no additional cables or remotes needed for setup as it streams via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Ultimately, the NOMVDIC X300 is one of the more intriguing products that we have reviewed recently in terms of both design and functionality. The ability to act as both a speaker and projector, along with the variety of features makes the X300 a very compelling product.
