Luxury branded audio products are not anything new as we have seen with Bang and Olufsen’s collaborations with high-end fashion houses such as Saint Laurent and Berluti. However, Louis Vuitton has just entered the audio space with a speaker of their own, the Horizon Light Up speaker.
Louis Vuitton’s Horizon Light Up Speaker brings a new and unique look to portable wireless speakers, a form factor which Louis Vuitton claims is an example of creative design, but also is able to express their heritage and expert craftsmanship. The speaker’s design is reminiscent of a spinning top and is apparently inspired by their Toupie line of handbags designed by Nicolas Ghesquière.
The speaker itself is crafted from leather and metal, and features an illuminated ring around the subwoofer that synchronizes to music and displays a gradient of colors. Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram and flowers are also plastered all over the speaker. The speaker comes with a leather carrying strap and a dock to take advantage of its immersive 360 degree sound. Similar to many other portable wireless speakers on the market today, the Horizon Light Up speaker supports various connection methods such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, and more.
The Louis Vuitton Horizon Light Up Speaker will be available everywhere starting July 30th.
